Hey, my name is Justin White

I’m Justin, a student at Middlesex College. I learned about photography through weddings. At first, I didn’t know what kind of photographer I wanted to be, but I knew I wanted to travel the world. When I started traveling, I wanted to keep a sort of travel log or images of the places I went. Then I came across wedding photography and realized that people get married all over the world and hire photographers to go with them.

I thought that was fun and cool.I started to learn about photography and an opportunity presented itself. My mom got married and I used that opportunity to practice. Then I photographed my younger brother's prom. It helped me improve my skills because of the different lighting situations; one shoot was low light and the other bright light. I've also done headshots for the student models, which was very fun but also a lot of chances to edit. I also like fine art photography.

One of my favorite things to do when I do a photography shoot is to use different kinds of color gels. I like to think as if I'm capturing someone’s feelings/expressions through a camera with different colors. I love using different props to create different kinds of scenes. I also see photography as an opportunity to meet new people and expand on future partnerships.
